This is done to give a taste of what it’s like to have the concept of “more lives” in Starbound and also to kick off the main development. The mod is currently at a very early stage with only one core mechanic implemented - regeneration.Upon death, they will be reborn into different form and continue living as such. While Timelords may look like humans, they have capabilities far greater - they can live eternally, as long as they have the regeneration energy within then. Timelord Race mod aims to bring the Doctor Who experience to Starbound by immersing player in the everyday galactic life of a Timelord.
